Sarthebari is a town located in the Barpeta district of Assam. It is located at about 100 kms west of Guwahati and 30 kms east of Barpeta town. Nalbari town is situated at a distance of 26 kms east. The land area under Sarthebari Town Area Committee is 2.90 sq kms. Sarthebari was declared a town in the year 1955.
